NBA Sleepers For December

NBA Sleepers For December

Chauncey Billups (G/Clippers)

Now at the two-guard spot, Billups has 14-years in the league and is solely focused on finding his place in Los Angeles. Last night the 35-year-old was able to net 21 points, while grabbing five boards and four assists in the Clippers season opener. Playing alongside Chris Paul is nothing but a positive for this guy's numbers, after a successful start to the season, look for Billups' numbers to remain quietly helpful for your squad throughout the week.

Dorrell Wright (SF/Warriors)

Wright is nothing more than a shooter that loves to camp in the corners for the open three-ball. This season he's expanding his productivity by grabbing some more rebounds in the paint. My personal advice is to keep away from the lengthy forward, as the Golden State scoring is generally spread between Ellis and Curry. During his season opener last night with the Warriors, Wright finished with just eight points, but did snag nine boards.

Jared Dudley (SG/Suns)

The Suns have an efficient guard in Dudley, someone who can fill up the stats on any given night. He's not a reliable scorer, but gives you're the three-pointers your team might need. Last season Dudley shot 41.5% from behind the arc, attempting 1.3 three-pointers a night. Look for his numbers to generally improve with the departure of Vince Carter.

Paul George (G/F Pacers)

George is a swingman that doesn't having playing time as a concern after his post season play last year. The Pacers love the lengthy and athletic George, who averaged 7.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game as a rookie last season.

Ty Lawson (G/Nuggets)

Denver's slippery point guard is a handful on the court, and can put up the numbers despite his size. Lawson was able to put up 27 points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals in Denver's roaring win over the reigning champs. Look for Lawson to begin getting more attention in the draft. If you have the star point guard, Lawson wouldn't be a bad back up to remain consistent.

James Harden (G/Thunder)

Harden is a guy that could potentially start for one of those bad teams in the Eastern conference. Two games into the season, he's supplied solid numbers during his limited playing time. Look for Harden to continue having the scoring in the teens with a sprinkled share of rebounds and assists along the way. The Thunder's top sixth man can also light it up in the scoring department on some nights, making it a smart move to grab him in the later rounds.
